Hiding rows from your QuickBooks desktop reports

Do you have old accounts or $0.00 rows on your reports that you wish you could hide?

Making an account inactive is a good place to start. However, it will only keep that account from showing up as an option when posting transactions. Inactive accounts may still show on reports, even if they have no activity for the report period.

So what’s the solution?

While viewing the report, click Customize Report.

Click Advanced

In the Display Rows section, choose one of the following:

Active will hide Inactive Accounts

Non-Zero will hide all rows that are displaying as $0.00 (regardless of if the account is active or inactive)

Then click OK

And OK again

Your report should now only be displaying the Active accounts or the non-zero rows, based on what you selected.
